California uses a Qualified Autism Service Provider (QASP) framework. BCBAs are recognized QASPs under DHCS. Medi-Cal ABA services are delivered through Medi-Cal managed care plans (Kaiser, L.A. Care, Molina, Health Net, Anthem Blue Cross).

Florida requires a Behavior Analyst license for anyone providing ABA services, administered through the Florida Department of Health's Board of Psychology. Medicaid ABA services are delivered almost entirely through Managed Care Organizations under Statewide Medicaid Managed Care (SMMC).

New York requires a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) credential through the NY State Education Department, Office of the Professions. Medicaid ABA services are delivered through Medicaid Managed Care (Mainstream Medicaid Managed Care) and Medicaid Managed Long Term Care where applicable.

Texas requires a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) credential through the Texas Behavior Analyst Licensing Program under the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). Medicaid ABA benefits are delivered via STAR Kids, STAR Health, and STAR+PLUS managed care organizations.
